Don't Bag Them, Use Them - Great Ideas For Your Leaves
Leaves ..... we're all blessed with an abundance of them at this time of year! Here are a few thoughts to help you manage this year's crop =)
* Cover tender plants like roses - they give great winter protection.
* Spread them over the garden and then till them in next year.
* Add them to the compost pile.
* Use them for fall decorations!
* Put a few between 2 sheets of wax paper along with a few crayons, press with a warm iron. This makes a nice colorful picture.
* To make raking leaves easier - push piles with a snow shovel!
* Make a 3 sided box using recycled wood or pallets. Rake leaves into the front. Now use you lawn mower to mow over the leaves, shredding them into little pieces. The 3 sides keep the leaves from flying all over the place while you shred them. These small bits can now be used to line a garden path - or any of the above ideas as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get rid of those wrinkles without ironing! 5 minutes before the dryer stops, put a damp towel in with the other clothes. The bit of moisture from this towel helps the wrinkles disappear from the rest of the clothes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
