Soft soaps are so nice to use - but so expensive!
Use this recipe to make your own wonderful soap at a fraction of the price.
You can personalize it with your favorite herbs & fragrances.
C = cup
1 1/2C herbs (lavender, mint, rose petals, bee balm, etc.)
1 1/2 quart water
Boil together in a saucepan (enamel is preferable)
Simmer 30 minutes to release the oils.
Stir in 2C shredded pure soap and 1/2 C borax.
Boil gently for 3 minutes and cool.
Add a few drops of essential oil. Pour into covered containers.
