Summary: A quick easy recipe for homemade bread, and a special "bread" poem that will add that special touch!

This is a wonderful gift that anyone would love to receive.

First make the bread, then add the cute little "bread" poem.

This recipe is an easy French bread that you could process through the bread machine if you'd like.

3 3/4 C flour
1/2 tb dry yeast
1 1/2 tb sugar
3/4 tea salt
1 1/2 C warm water

Put yeast in water & allow to sit while mixing other ingredients. Combine flour, sugar, & salt. Add water to the flour mixture a little at a time. Knead until mixed & flexible. Roll dough into french bread shape & put on greased cookie sheet. Let rise 45 minutes or until doubled in size. Bake for 10 min at 450º - then 15-20 min. at 350º.

*You could put foil around the loaf to keep it from getting to crisp if you'd like. I would do this after the first 10 minutes.

After you wrap your bread, add this poem:

Thank you for...
Always "rising" to the occasion
Never letting things rub against your "grain"
Being their when I "knead" you
No matter how you "slice" it, you're a "cut" above the rest!
